Just the thing for overhead cam engines I bought this tool to service the valves on my classic Triumph overhead cam engines, namely the TR7, Stag and Dolomite Sprint. An OHC engine needs a tool that will reach well down into the tappet bore to compress the valve springs. This tool worked beautifully, and it would work just as well on pushrod engines also. Very sturdily made. This is the only valve spring compressor I'll need in the future. Works on 4G63 heads This valve spring compressor works great on compressing the valve springs on 6 and 7 bolt 4G63 series heads LARGE VALVE SPRING COMPRESSOR This a quality product at a great price that has already paid for itself in usage.

Worth Every Penny.....Versatile I was first introduced to a mechanics stethoscope quite a few years ago when I used to use a regular physicians stethoscope I had picked up somewhere when needed for car repairs. I located a mechanics model in a catalog and ordered it there. I found it to be far more versatile with its long stem conductor instead of the flat plastic head on a physicians model, as well as much easier to use by design. About a year ago my old stethoscope got run over during one of my more intense repairs, and I have since picked up this very same Lisle model from a local parts store. The price here on Amazon for this 52500 model is cheaper than what I paid, and at the time of this writing ships free when bundled. Although there are more expensive models available on Amazon, I cannot imagine anyone needing anything more than what this one offers. Its solid, durable, and very comfortable to wear. I should point out that a mechanics stethoscope is one of the most versatile tools you can own. Even if you never do any work on cars. You would not believe the number of uses one finds for this instrument when you have one around. Ever have one of those annoying squeaks or rattles inside your car, or some other place that you can't exactly pin down no matter how close you seem to get to it? With this baby you will find ground zero on the squeak in a couple of minutes. In addition to cars, you can easily locate squeaks or noises in any kind of machinery, or in your homes floor and walls. I even used mine to locate an irritating squeak on a neighbors sewing machine. It is very easy to use, and even a lot of fun at times. As for this model versus a higher priced one, unless you're a highly paid specialist of some kind that prefers the very best, I would pass up the more expensive scopes available here or anywhere else and buy this one. It is all the scope most of us should ever need, and one of the most handy and versatile tools to have in your home or garage..... Recommended. Shadetree mechanic Good quality instrument is a big help in locating strange noises in engines and any other mechanical items. A great help for "do-it-yourselfers". "Not bad at all, very sensitive, good price" Just got mine scope today. Tried it and noticed how sensitive it was. I can hear my own heartbeat with it. Hell I can even hear my own vein/artery pulse (very low) with it. The overall build quality is flimsy (bad), so that was a bit disappointing. The long probe tip shown in the picture is very fragile (easy to bend), so be careful. While I cannot compare it with any other, I can say it should come in handy in the future, just keep it in a padded sturdy case of some sort, and you may have to disassemble it prior to storing it, since it is fairly long - about 16" with the least bend radius allowable. The ear buds are a bit tight, it hurts my ears to use it after a short while. Again, it is extremely sensitive to sounds, even touching any part of it produces a lot of sounds, so keep that in mind when you use it. Some sounds will be "distracting", and the user may have a hard time discerning the real cause of the noise (on a car) from you touching/bumping/moving the probe around the car. For the price, its worth it, free shipping and all.

Great tester. I have used this tester for years now. It works flawlessly and its design works well on many applications. Word of caution, just because it has a plastic shield doesn't mean it is protecting you from the spark. If you get a finger too close, it will get you. Real Time Saver Pocket size, no connections to make, cheap and it works! What more could you ask for in a tool. I've been using this spark tester for years and have given them to fellow gearheads as gifts! It can sometimes be a little hard to see out in the bright sun, but use your head as a shade and all is well. I wouldn't be without it. Works as expected I touched it to a wire in my truck while running and it showed spark. Haven't used it yet in diagnostics but expect it to be a time saver. The light is a bit dim and hard to see outside-at first I thought it wasn't working. Don't Kick Like Grabbing the end of Plug Wires While it's not as fun as grabbing the plug wire, it does glow to show you when it fires.

Must Have Tool for Intake Manifold Gasket Swap For a GM V6 3.1 liter engine this tool is essential for easy removal and re-insertion of push rods. For an intake manifold gasket replacement the price is well worth the time savings. Great timesaver! Even though one of the welds broke and I had to reweld it, I still saved a buncha time with this tool. Hopefully I'll never need it again but I'm gonna hang on to it anyway... Lisle Push Rod Remover 2.8L, 3.1L, 3.4L GM V6 This tool is perfect for what it is designed for, removing pushrods on GM 2.8L, 3.1L and 3.4L V6 engines without removing the rocker arms. This will save a couple of hours when you are replacing the Lower Intake Manifold Gasket on one of these engines. The LIM gasket is a very frequent point of failure, particularly on the newer 3.1L and 3.4L V6 engines. An Original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, manufactures products or components that are purchased by a company and retailed under the purchasing company's brand name.^{[1][2][3][4][5]} OEM refers to the company that originally manufactured the product.
When referring to automotive parts, OEM designates a replacement part made by the manufacturer of the original part.^[6]

Confusing and contradictory definitions

OEM may also refer to a company that purchases--for use in its own products--a component made by a second company.^[7][8][9] For instance, under this definition, if company 'A Inc' purchases optical drives from company 'B Ltd' to put in 'A Inc' computers, then 'company A' is the OEM.
An even more confusing, contradictory definition is a company that sells the product of a second company under its own brand name.^[10][3]
Companies who follow the above practices may be better termed value-added resellers (VARs) or resellers, respectively.

Economy of scale

OEMs rely on their ability to drive down the cost of production through economies of scale. Also, using an OEM allows the purchasing company to obtain the needed components or products without owning and operating a factory.

Automotive parts

An automobile part may carry the designation OEM if it is made by the same manufacturer and is the original part used when building and selling the product.^[6] The term aftermarket is often used for non-OEM replacement parts.^[6]

Origin of term

OEM is defined by IBM to refer to "a manufacturer of equipment that may be marketed by another manufacturer".^[1]
The term was used in the early 1960s by Digital Equipment Corporation and its vendors to refer to value-added resellers.^[9]
