PGI has been a manufacturer in Dallas, Texas for over 54 years and manufactured its first gasket on March 6, 1957.

For many years after its founding, PGI was a division of Southwest Wheel Company of Dallas. Then, in 1977 PGI was sold to and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Brenlin Group. In 1995, PGI was spun off and became a member corporation of The Cypress Companies, Inc. group of companies.

PGI presently occupies a 25,000 square foot facility on 4 acres in Greater Dallas which has been its home since 1979.
